PLAY (Physical Literacy and You) groups are emerging across Alberta. PLAY Calgary provides an opportunity for interested professionals and volunteers in the areas of health, education, recreation and sport (to name a few) to work together to find ways to support the development of physical literacy in our community. The goal is to share, promote, implement, and evaluate resources, programs, services, amenities and policies which increase the physical literacy and wellness of Albertans.
“Physical literacy can be described as the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life.”
